Senior Human Resources Generalist - Broomfield

This position reports to the Human Resources Manager.


Primary responsibilities of the Senior Human Resources Generalist are:


  • Administers employee management programs encompassing all functional areas of employee relations.

  • Aids Human Resources Manager in the design, planning, and implementation of human resources programs, policies and procedures in compliance with State and Federal laws and regulation.

  • Assists the Human Resources Manager in identifying and creating opportunities to increase attraction, retention and employee morale throughout the company.

  • Addresses employee relations concerns and issues, investigates complaints in a timely manner, evaluating all information and making well informed recommendations for resolution and actions to be taken.

  • Provides advice and counsel to company management regarding employee performance management and performance improvement actions.

  • Insures compliance with company policies; state and federal laws and regulations.

  • Administers leave programs & benefits including FMLA, ADA and STD.

  • Administers employee enrollment in benefit programs including medical, life, AD&D, STD, LTD, 401(k).

  • Partners with managers in leading safety efforts to prevent and reduce job injuries.  Investigates and follows up on all reports.  Is an active participant on the Safety Committee.

  • Maintains OSHA records, administers return-to-work program and acts as liaison with employees, designated providers and work comp insurance company.

  • Recommends, coordinates and administers training in safety, employment law, benefits, performance management and other programs for employees.

  • Insures the accuracy of records and that recordkeeping requirements are met per corporate record retention policy.

  • Assists the Human Resources Manager with planning and organizing company-wide events and activities.


In addition to possessing past experience in and the ability to perform the duties outlined above, the qualified candidate will possess:


  • Bachelor’s Degree (a focus in Business Management or Human Resources is a plus).

  • 5 years previous Human Resources experience in areas noted above.

  • Proven ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.

  • Experience in a high volume Human Resources office (experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus).

  • PHR, SPHR and/or SHRM certification.

  • Exemplary attention to detail and problem solving skills.

  • Self-motivation with a sense of urgency and ability to multi-task and prioritize work in order to meet deadlines.

  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word and Power Point and ADP or other HR software.

  • Stable and verifiable work history.
